There’s something for everyone in Sammamish, whether swimming in Sammamish Landing or hiking through parks and trails that connect different neighborhoods. The East Lake Sammamish Trail is open to walkers, cyclists, and joggers wanting to spend time in nature. It's an eleven-mile trail leading from northern Redmond to southern Issaquah. Duthie Hill Park is a mountain bike destination occupying 120-acres of rolling terrain. The trails and courses range from beginner to experienced. It serves as a challenging experience and opportunity to develop and strengthen skills. 
 
At the center of the city is Sammamish Commons, home to the Community and Aquatic Center, Library, and Community Garden. Big Rock Park North is located in the center of Sammamish and has a playground and flat trails winding through the forest and wetlands. 
 
The Sahalee Country Club hosts several programs and championships and is rated the number one golf course in Washington. Surrounded by lush greenery and picturesque trees, it's the perfect place to get away for a relaxing game of focus and precision. 
 
Sammamish takes pride in their environmental impact. They have an annual Earth Day event with educational games and activities that spread awareness about sustainability and effective daily practices. It's an experience you wouldn't want to miss. Grab some good eats at the food trucks, visit the petting zoos, and win prizes. The day before the event, they extend a volunteer opportunity called Earth Day Habitat Restoration, where people help weed, plant, and enhance the wildlife habitat of the community.
